Anybody else having this problem? If you've posted comments on my blog in the last three days, your comment has probably been eaten by the Bloggermonster. Becky says she's having the problem, too. Stuff I posted on other blogs seems to be disappearing too. This is soooooo weird. And crazymaking. 'sup, Blogger?

Yes, it's happening to me, as well. I say we form a hunting party, light some torches, and set out in search of the monster. :)
It's happened to me, too. I had two comments on my own blog (and I knew this because I was e-mailed them), but when I went to my blog, they weren't there. It took nearly 5 hours for them to show up. It's been a strange day!
Thanks Stacy and TK. I'm with you on the torches. And maybe some pitchforks. I'm writing this partly to see if it "sticks."
I had comment issues on my blog today too- second time this week I got an error approving comments (I think one of them was yours Anne I'm not sure if it ever showed up!)
To cheer you up maybe a little, guess what I got in the mail today? My copy of Genre Wars. Know why I'm so excited about that? Cause your story is in it :) Now if my eyes will only let me read print *sigh*.

This happens all the time. That's why I have comments emailed to me. They eventually come back.
Yes, I'm also having some of my comments going on a fritz.
What in the heck is going on at Blogger?
Hopefully, it will all fix itself in a few days and be back to normal.
Until then, write on!
No comments for me either, as annoying as it is I am strangely glad I am not the only one with this problem.
I've been blog surfing today, and noticed it on several others - as well as my own. A couple days ago I got so disgusted with my comments "disappearing" from blogs I read that I just gave up and lurked.
Sorry, but I'm glad its not just me either. I'm with TK; I want to hunt down those comment hungry monsters. Some of my comments were very well thought out :(
Ah well.

Hi Anne! Yes, my comments finally started showing up sometime this morning, but they're still kind of messed up. I just hope the ones I left for others will be there, too, because gosh, I don't remember who all I left comments for! Acckk!!
It was a Blogger-wide problem. If you click on the Blogger Help button and then on the help forums, you can usually find out what's happening and also leave a message with your problem. That's the only way to let them know what needs fixing. I was missing comments, too. Hope it all gets back to normal soon.
In my case, the comments are there, but it says Zero comments. Strange.
I'm glad to know it's a system-wide problem. Wierd thing on my blog was a comment was there. I read it. Then a few days later, the author writes to say it's gone. And it is. And I have no idea where or why as I didn't delete it. Like we have Blogger Comment mice or something? Come in the middle of the night and eat comments at random? Well, hope the Google Cat has taken care of the problem.
Yep, I saw this too, but it seems to have sorted otself out now. Strangely, Anne, it was one of your comments on my blog that failed to appear for an hour or so. But it's there now!
weird. I haven't noticed, but I'm going to keep an eye out now.
Seems to be an overall Blogger fail--yesterday only some of the comments showed up in the total.
The best thing to do is always always always have your comments emailed to you-- you can set this in blogger. That way when people comment on old posts, you never miss it.
Thanks all! It's obviously system-wide. Although it seems to manifest in different ways. I have 9 comments listed, but only 4 (my responses) show up. I know they were there, because I read some of them, but none have returned.
The most upsetting thing was a comment from an agent that got eaten before I saw it. I know he left it because he sent an email referencing it, but I sure would like to know what he said in the post. Arrgghh. I don't know if it's worth it to leave another message for Blogger Help. They never respond.
I spent Monday leaving lots of comments on blogs, because it was a relaxing day and I had some time to surf around. I'm glad to know at least some of my comments made it.
Thanks Bru! So glad you bought Genre Wars. It's an excellent collection. I was happy to be in there with so many great writers. The Literary Lab's anthologies are up with the best literary journals. Cheaper than a lot of them too. And all the money goes to a good cause.
Anne, I would suggest going to your options and putting in your email to have all your comments emailed to you as they come in. That way you always know what came to you whether or not it shows up on Blogger. :)
Thanks, Sierra and Michelle. I finally figured out how to sign up for emailed comments and--mirabile dictu!--they came to my email box this AM. Some are still missing from Sunday's post, but I guess I'll have to live with that. Sigh.
